Cardiff City were denied a deserved three points this afternoon after a ghastly error from debutant Dimi Konstantopoulos in goal for the Bluebirds.

olverhampton Wanderers were much the better side at the start, hittingh the post and forcing a number of mis-kicks from Dimi on his first start. They soon had the lead when a cross found Ebanks-Blake unmarked and free to nod home at close range. Shortly afterwards, Keogh fired over from eight yards while Kightly and Edwards also went close. Jarvis was a particular threat on Wolves’ left and we looked in severe trouble.

owever, after half an hour – Paul Parry did superbly well on the Cardiff right and pulled back for MICHAEL CHOPRA to fire expertly home and equalise. From that moment on, I thought Cardiff City were the better side. Parry, Ledley and McCormack had efforts with the Scotsman falling over when presented with an open goal.

he second half saw Cardiff passing brightly and moving well as a unit in defence. The second goal came from a free-kick and ROGER JOHNSON was on hand to head us into the lead. We looked comfortable, Henry shot over from distance for Wolves but the substitutions had little effect and Cardiff remained in control.

isaster struck in the 80th minute though when an inocuous cross from Reid saw Konstantopoulos rise and claim only to drop the ball back over the line – given by the assistant – a real shocker and it must go down as an own goal on debut for the Greek stopper.

urke looked lively after replacing Bothroyd in the first half, Parry worked very hard and Chopra took his goal really well. Ledley was the star of the show, at the heart of all things good and we earnt a creditable draw – it should have been more but to be disappointed with a point away at the league leaders shows our quality.
