Cardiff City were held to a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace tonight but it should have been a victory for the Bluebirds.

Cardiff made 4 changes and ran Palace ragged at times, the passing was good and we looked a completely different outfit to lately.

However, City will rue a number of missed chances with home keeper Julian Speroni in inspired form and pulled off a superb save from Johnson’s header. Parry went close after a mazy run but youngster Aaron Ramsey was the most unlucky to see his well struck shot rebound off the post.

Palace were restricted briliantly by Cardiff with the recalled Loovens hugely impressive. Morrison went closest but missed the target with his header.

Relief for Cardiff fans despite the diappointment without the victory. At least the team played with a semblence of form and are not prepared to see out the season with a whimper.

Yes – we should have wrapped it up in the first half. Same old story – we just don’t have a nippy forward who can score – Chopra would have had 5! Scimeca and Sinclair made very welcome returns – class and experience told. Should be interesting to see who Jones puts out as midfielders on Sunday. Great to see Chris Gunter standing with the City supporters.
