Cardiff City have agreed an emergency loan deal with Wycombe Wanderers to allow reserve team goalkeeper Elliot parish to join the League 2 side amidst their current injury problems.

Parrish joined City after a loan spell from Aston Villa back in January. His current deal runs until the end of the season but the young keeper looks unlikely to get any first team action with the Bluebirds with David Marhsall firmly first choice and new recruit Joe lewis looking to challenge.

With a very strong squad, City will surely be looking for the likes of Parish, Gestede, Kadeem Harris and possibly even Joe Ralls to leave on short term loan deals to build up their experience. All will benefit from training with our coaches and alongside the likes of Bellamy, Whittingham and co. but there is no substitute for first team action.

Parish goes straight into Wycombe’s squad in place of Nikki Bull, and is in contention to face Exeter City tonight.
