Cardiff City’s number one goalkeeper David Marshall is called-up to replace Preston North End’s Iain Turner who has dropped out.

Marshall has installed himself as Malky Mackay’s number one, after returning from elbow surgery which saw him sidelined for much of last season. He has so far kept Tom Heaton on the subs bench, putting in some confident and assured performances though he will have been disappointed with conceding soft goals to Bristol City and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Marshall joins his fellow team-mates Kenny Miller and Don Cowie in the current Scots squad and will look to keep himself in Craig Levein’s plans.
