Cardiff City Going Places According to Bothroyd

Cardiff City are a club going places according to Jay Bothroyd. The striker was so impressed by the facilities, the manager and the friendliness at Ninian Park that he had to sign.

‘When I was invited up to Ninian Park to have a look around and watch the Ajax game I was impressed by everything I saw. The whole set-up is geared towards the Premiership and the training facilities are different class.

‘Cardiff have got big ambitions for the future and I feel the same way – that’s what convinced me to sign. Dave Jones is a great manager and he gets the very best out of his players. Look at how players have developed under him – players like Jason Koumas for example. I jumped at the chance of working with him.

‘The fans are also really good. When you come out of the tunnel the noise they generate makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. I remember playing at Ninian Park with Wolves and it was always a very intimidating place to be. With a great set of fans like that behind you, anything is possible.’
