Cardiff City boss Dave Jones may look to rest under pressure striker Jay Bothyrod in fovaour of alternative target man Jon Parkin, a regular substitute but surely itching to play from the start. There are a number of reasons why this change could be made, but Dave Jones usually opts to allow important players to play through difficult patches.

A recent poll on the Vital Cardiff website revealed the majority of fans think Parking is ready for and deserves his chance with a substantial 63% in favour of starting with ‘The Beast’. Bothroyd polled 37% but has just two goals since November.

Either player is capable of making a big impression during todays clash against Barnsley. Both offer different attributes in attack, and both are experienced and effective at this level.

A win is the priority for the Bluebirds, whomever is in the starting line-up!
