Cardiff City returned with their audascious bid to take former Bluebirds goal ace Robert Earnshaw on loan at Ninian Park.

Cardiff are desperately lacking pace and a proven finisher in attack and made initial enquiries about Derby County’s Earnshaw back in January. However the Rams were keen on a permanent deal rather than the loan City were prososing.

However, after the end of the transfer window, Cardiff returned with another loan bid but this has also been unsuccessful and may be one of the failed Premiership loan bids allured to by Peter Ridsdale earlier this week.

Earnshaw has disappointed at Derby as well as struggling with injuries as Derby County’s return to the top flight already doomed to relegation after a truly abysmal season.

Would be a good signing, hasn’t fitted in at Derby.

he doesnt seem to fitt into any of derbys plans, so i cant see why they wont allow him to leave on loan, if he comes to us, he wont be the same old earny we know, it will take time to get his fitness, speed, agility and technequie all back up to the level we know of
