Cardiff City have handed a contract extension to big Ben Turner – just a year after his move to the Bluebirds from Coventry City. After recovering from a knee injury, Turner has established himself as a dominant and imposing defender and is first choice alongside Mark Hudson.

Turner is young for a centre-half and has not yet hit his peak. He has all the attributes required to play in the Premiership and looks destined for a chance at that in the future. He becomes the latest to agree new deals at the club as Mackay looks to ensure his stars are happy, and tied down to long term deals with CCFC.

Whittingham, Taylor and Turner have recently put pen to paper on new contracts – is it left-footers first Malky?!?
