Cardiff City Drawn Against Rivals Leicester City

Cardiff City were the first team drawn in the Carling Cup third round fixtures, and will face Sven Goran Eriksson’s Leicester City.

It’s a home draw for City, which is good – but Leicester are a big team in the Championship, have spent big and will be able to rotate their squad better than the Bluebirds. Interestingly, the game is likely to take place within days of our Championship fixture against the Foxes.

The Bluebirds saw off the challenges of lower league opposition to date, but needed extra time to secure the wins over Oxford United and last week in the 5-3 win over Huddersfield Town.
