Cardiff City have been drawn to travel to league 2 side Bournemouth in the Carling Cup first round next season. This will be the first ‘meaningful’ cup game since our trip to the slightly more illustrious Wembley.
We also play in the Algarve Cup as part of pre-season.
Last year it took a professional Liverpool side to beat us in a 2-1 away defeat.
Bournemouth struggled last season, both on and off the field. Former Cardiff City goalkeeper David Forde was on loan there, but opted to join Millwall instead.

They are now in League Two, would have stayed up if not for the 10 points penalty.
