Cardiff City manager Dave jones would have been pleased to see his side fight back for a point but was against forced to lament a lack of firepower up-front:
‘I feel slightly upset because we haven’t come away with maximum points.’
‘We should be a bit more clinical in front of goal. I thought we were superb in the first-half, but without the cutting edge. Even with the penalty we got we were trying to walk it into the back of the net.’
‘But in the second-half I thought we got at them and amongst them and got a fully deserved point. I thought the match officials were poor for both teams.’
Paul Jewell accepted his team were never comfortable, but lauded the spirit of his side and their recent improvement:
‘We didn’t play well but we have got something out of the game.’
‘Determination has got to come first and I am pleased we have shown that. It’s going to take a few more results for us to relax completely and play the football we’re capable of.’
