Cardiff City have just one more day to secure any re-enforcements they may need ahead of today’s 5pm deadline.

Cardiff have been lacking options up-front with Hasselbaink currently suspended and Thompson and Feeny posing little goal threat but bids to bring several Premiership strikers (Earnshaw and Chopra included) have failed.

City are thought to be in talks with one Premiership club regarding a suitable candidate but there are just hours left to secure the deal.

Another deal to bring Stockport County defender Ashley Williams to Ninian Park is a possibility, but Cardiff are more likely to wait until the summer to make their move.
