Cardiff City chairman Peter Ridsdale will be launching a book during the coming season, in which he talks candidly of the Leeds United saga and his thoughts of the game today.

Ridsdale has suffered for his part in the demise of Leeds United. As chairman, resposibility is inevitably his – but he was only part of the board that oversaw massive spending and audacious gambles.

Leeds United now have crippling financial problems, and are due to start the season with a 15 point deduction in League 1, Ridsdale is still disliked by many although the current chairman Ken Bates has been receiving similar feelings from the Whites fans.

Ridsdale’s book,to be titled: United We Fall: Boardroom Truths Behind the Beautiful Game will attempt to explain some of the decisions taken at Leeds and is sure to be accepted with controvesy in Yorkshire.

Ridsdale has been repairing his tarnished reputation with Cardiff City, and has stabilised the club since his arrival in a way few thought possible. Fans have questioned the ambition and lack of spending but to my mind, Ridsdale has performed wonders and has been more honest and open with the fans than many deserve.
