Cardiff City have signed a 14 year old goalkeeper from the Herefordshire Goalkeeping Academy. The youngster will not be expected to play in the first team and Dave Jones will still be signing a senior keeper to challenge David Forde next season !!!

Stefan Anthony from Ludlow, impressed on 1 6-week trial with Cardiff City and has been handed a chance.

Allan Hawkins, manager of the centre praised Anthony’s abilities and personality:

“Stefan has worked exceptionally hard over the last few years,”

“He’s an excellent listener and prepared to implement new techniques which has led him to become an outstanding keeper for his age.’

“A couple of league clubs had looked at Stefan. However, it was Cardiff City who took him on a six-week trial resulting in them signing him initially to the end of the season which has now been extended for a two-year period. He has fitted in like a glove there.”
