Cardiff City manager Dave Jones is looking forward to a January with a difference nex year with the resolution of some longstanding debts, and the likelihood that Vincent Tan will sanction some moves in the transfer markey – a clear difference to years gone by.

Jones hopes that will allow him to strengthen, and provide the drive to oversee a real promotion push – this time a successful one! Jones was talking to Talksport this morning:

‘We’re hoping to bring in one or two players who will give us a bit more experience. We’ve never been able to actually go out and get that somebody that we want.’

‘Thankfully we are up there, and hopefully we can have a final good blow at it.’

A new centre-half and striker is a priority for Jones, while he will also look to find loan moves for Gavin Rae and possibly Steven McPhail. Chopra, Burke and Bothroyd have all attracted interest and all could be available for the right price, especially given the latter two are out of contract in the summer.
