Thanks to Coops over at Vital Sheff Utd for his views:

Since our last meeting, Sheffield United have been highly inconsistent – that must be frustrating?

Very frustrating. We’ve been inconsistent all season long, beating the likes of WBA, Wolves and Charlton but losing to the likes of Scunthorpe. Every time we think we might be turning the corner, a horror show like the 0-3 defeat at home to Stoke comes along.

At that point, you mentioned the manager was already under pressure – has that intensified now?

As with our form, the pressure on the manager fluctuates from week to week. If we hadn’t beaten Barnsley last week the pressure on Robson would’ve been huge. That win has bought him a little more time from the fans. I don’t think he’ll ever be a favourite but the board seem firmly behind him. No doubt one set of fans will be putting him forward for the England job on Saturday though!

What are your aspirations for the season given your indifferent start?

Play-offs have to be the absolute minimum for us. It’s unforgivable really that automatic promotion is out of our reach so early on.

A derby win over Barnsley should give you a lift going into this game?

You’d have thought so but it doesn’t necessarily work like that with this team. We did see a little more passion from the team and a continuation of that would be most welcome.

Any particular players on form in your side? Who should we watch?

Gary Cahill would’ve been the man to watch but he’s returned to Aston Villa. He’ll be replaced by club captain Chris Morgan. Morgs has proved himself to be a top player over the last couple of seasons but his form earlier this term was horrible. I’m struggling to pick an attacking player out which tells a story. Watch out for Jon Stead if Robson finally gives him a game, he is a class act, 6′ 4′, quick, skillful and a good finisher.

Prediction for the game?

I don’t see us getting anything to be honest. Although we won on my only visit to Ninian Park (in our promotion season), it always feels like one of those grounds where it is difficult to get anything, particularly for a team who is struggling with the mental side of the game.

well i like to see a honest fan. i think they will get the three points 2 reasons. 1. we have got no1 who can score for us and dj doesnt realise it he will play the same flop as always. 2. the likes of beattie will ease past our defence the way they lack concentration
