Blackpool Fan: View On Cardiff Game

Vital Cardiff spoke to a Blackpool fan about their season so far and thoughts for tonight’s game. We headed over to Vital Blackpool and spoke to avid ‘Pool fan John:



Were you happy with your departures / signings ?

Really we were just concentrating on getting Wes Hoolahan on board after a year on loan, that materialisd on the day before the opening start of the season. We really needed a striker in but have we have managed to cope so far with varied success. Stephen Crainey a left back who joined from Leeds has been the pick of the bunch!



Not a great start, thoughts so far?

Eh! We are new to the division, we knew that it wasn’t going to be easy, the plan is that in January we’ll be able to bring one or two players in which will give us the necessary boost. At the moment, mid-table is still achievable but the emphasize is on staying up, taking points at home is vitally important.



Aspirations for this season?

As mentioned has to be staying in the division and beating the rivals, Burnley and Preston. We drew with Burnley at Turf Moor with the return fixture on New Years Day. On Saturday we beat the scum Preston 1-0 in their own back yard, and will do the same in the home match.



BFC player to watch, how will they hurt us?

Physically Ian Evatt who is a big centre half, interns of the game Wes Hoolahan, who’s our Irish Magician, not many teams have been able to get a grip of him this season. He scored the winner against Preston on Saturday with a chipped penalty.



If you could have one Cardiff player on a free, who and why?

Trevor Sincalair, as an ex Pool player it would be nice to see him back with a bit of experience. I think that Paul Parry is also a good attacking player.



Prediction for the game?

2-0 to the Pool, after the result at the weekend the lads will be buzzing but we have played a lot of games recently.
