Some will leave Cardiff this summer some won’t. Gary Medel is one that I’m certain will fall into the ‘will’ category.

If reports coming from Turkey are correct little time is being wasted.

We’ve still got another Premier League game to play and relegation has barely been officially confirmed, even if it has been a matter of time for some while, but Eurosport Turkey are reporting that Besiktas are already close to an agreement with the midfielder to sign him up.

Medel heading to the World Cup with Chile does mean he’ll be unavailable for a while for talks so if this is true Besiktas are looking to get in early and steal a march on rivals for his signature.

The fee is likely to be a handsome one seen as we paid a club record £11m for him just 12 months ago.

If and when his departure is confirmed, well a deal agreed confirmed for when the summer transfer window opens again in July, I’d be surprised if a Premier League team didn’t sign him up as he’s looked very much at home on this level.
