Cardiff City will today officially sign Marcus Bent from Charlton after the player completes a medical with us.
After initially rejecting an offer, Charlton Athletic have accepted a deal, in the region of £1m, for the striker who spent last season on loan with Wigan Athletic.
The player has already agreed a contract and will sign subject to his medical where no problems are expected.
Bent is seen as the missing link in Cardiff City’s attack and an ideal foil for Ross McCormack. He is a poweful striker, casues problems for defences and can score goals too.
Bent will link up with his new team-mates for the pre-season tour of Portugal.
