Sol Bamba has revealed his delight at the end of an impressive seven day spell for Cardiff that saw victories secured over Derby, Leeds and Rotherham – culminating in that 5-0 win over the Millers on Saturday.

As the cliché goes winning breeds confidence with Bamba basically saying that’s been the case with Cardiff with the Bluebirds buzzing at the moment as we continue to put the disappointing first half of season behind us.

Bamba’s praised the Cardiff faithful for the part they’ve continued to play. He told the Official Website.

‘I think winning football matches makes everyone happy and gets the place buzzing. It was a difficult start to the season I think, but at the minute, when we win games, it brings happiness and that`s what we aim to do. We always have a great group of fans; the Club has always had a good fan base and hopefully that can continue. It`s up to us though and what we do on the pitch.’

Bamba’s been involved in 19 games for Cardiff since the former Leeds defender was signed by Neil Warnock shortly following his arrival as boss. He’ll look to play as many of the remaining 13 games as possible.

He finished by saying Warnock’s also made it easier with him helping the players to enjoy football again.

‘The Manager has made it very easy for us [as players] because he`s straightforward and he says it how it is. We know what we have to do and how to get a result. When you enjoy your football and play with confidence you win games – and that`s what we`re doing at the minute.’
