Cardiff City utility player Neal Ardley is on the verge of joining Millwall. The right sided player has been offered a 2 year deal at the New Den and whilst Jones is reluctant to let one of his senior and experienced players leave he cannot guarantee Ardley games and Ardley has just 1 year left on his contract. Normally considered a right winger, Ards played most of last season in an unfamiliar right back role and plugged the gap left by Weston and Darlingtons problems. His solid displays and pin-point crossing were highly useful as we looked to attack and his defending was perfectly acceptable. He is definately past his best but would surely have played some part for the Bluebirds this season. Good luck Neal.

Rhys Weston is also on trial with Millwall with a view to a permanent move. Weston is in contract at City but has been told to seek a new club. Weston is one of City’s longest serving players but has regularly found himself dropped from first team action and will be hoping to resurrect his International career with Millwall.
