Russell Slade raided Chesterfield to sign Eoin Doyle in January, and after firstly struggling at Cardiff the striker looks to have found his feet and looks like he’ll be a good signing in the end, as long as he can build on his end of season form.

Reports on Wales Online say that Slade’s looking at another player or two from the League 1 outfit as well with Sam Clucas a player of interest with him on his ‘summer radar’

Another Chesterfield man that we’re being linked with is Sam Morsy, who like Doyle could have left the Proact Stadium in January with us along with Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds and Wigan all linked with him at the time, but he opted to stay and try and help gain them promotion to the Championship.

I’ve no problem with us looking at players from a lower level, there’s nothing to say that they’ll not be successful – there’s nothing to say that they would either! – but it’s a little concerning that as much as we can’t shop at Harrods any longer we’re constantly shopping at another store, decide what this would be yourself, these days….
