A song for Neil Alexander

This Saturdays game between Cardiff City and Hull City is likely to be the last chance for Cardiff City fans to see popular goalkeeper Neil Alexander in Bluebirds colours.

The Scottish International has not been offered a satisfactory contract and is on his way out of Ninian Park. Many fans would love to see Neil given the nod for a final game for Cardiff, but he is unlikely to be given the chance.

Alex is currently the longest serving player, and wanted to remain at the club.

Below is a song submitted by a VitalCardiff member (who asked to remain nameless).

Ne-il Alexander
He`s Scotland`s Number 1
An acrobatic Keeper
He`s saving goals for fun
Dave Jones doesn`t want him
Won`t give him a new deal
Us Bluebirds we all love him
Our super, super Neil.

He`s been with us for ages,
He`s pretty f*cking good
The best of all our keepers,
Except for Georgie Wood
I`d give him a new contract,
And then I`d thank the Lord,
For NEIL ALEXANDER
I`d rather him than Forde!

Sung to the tune of ‘My Old Man’s a Dustman’ or as you may know it ‘Peter Thorne is Magic’.
