The controversial idea of playing music when Cardiff City score at home has met serious opposition with fans concerned that the ‘gimmick’ will decrease atmosphere and ‘Americanise’ the game.

The poll running on this site has received many votes and the overwhelming majority are against such an idea. 77% have voted against although the club are still likely to trial such music at the forthcoming home game against Wolves. If music is played, it will most likely be met by derision from the support which should in fact be cheering the team after scoring!

Some may come round to the idea but hearing ‘Bluebirds! Bluebirds!’ all around the ground simply must be more galvanising to our side and more intimidating to the opposition than some carnival music piped out from the speakers.

We wait and see…
